Community Service


"Service above Self“  is at the heart of the Community Services Committee.

 A committed and enthusiastic group, the Community Service Team is dedicated to helping those people and groups in our community that need assistance, to improve their circumstances .

Engaged in projects which have either been running for many years or just for a short while, the CS Team is pro-active and looking to source new projects.

Current projects include:

The Santos Great Bike Ride

One of our biggest projects for many years, funds raised benefit three great charities; Hope for Children, Horizon House & Heart Foundation.

 

Passages Race Day

A great social networking event attracting many of Perth's movers and shakers, with all procceds going to the Passages drop in centre.

Vienna Pops

Raising money for the Prostate Canacer Foundation and Passages, this popular New Year's Eve champagne event brings  the last night of the proms to the last day of the year in Perth.

Waist Disposal Project

Competition between WA's Rotary Clubs to loose some inches....

Manna Industries

Funding to provide breakfast to young children in underprivileged schools

Convicts For A Cause

Fun evening at Fremantle Prison where Perth's business leaders and celebreties are “ransomed” for a miniumum release fee of $500 collected (by mobile phone) pledges from their friends and colleauges. Main recipient is Cystic Fibrosis WA.

Prostate Cancer Foundation

One of Australia's most prolific cancers in men, one of our members.

Wishing Wells

Collects donations dropped into the wishing wells at the Barrack Street Jetty and at the Kings Park to help fund supported causes.
