Our special guest and speaker was Megan Krakouer, Perth Citizen of the Year.
For Naidoc Week, our special guest was Perth Citizen of the Year Megan Krakouer.

The Krakouer name is synonymous with football due to the magic and mayhem of Megan’s brothers Jim and Phil.  Megan, 13th child of the family, was honoured on Australia Day 2023, by Governor Chris Dawson and Lord Mayor Basil Zemplis.  As a Director of the National Suicide and Trauma Prevention Project, Megan’s topic, “Walking in the shoes of others”, was a heartfelt experience.

Having visited 30 outback communities and 27 prisons throughout Australia; also leading the world-wide vigils, of thousands of mourners, over the murder of Perth schoolboy Cassius Turvey, Megan Krakouer is the epitome of volunteer.
