Bi-District Conference 5-7 March 2021 | Key Action Points 

As you are well aware, the RotaryWA Joint-District Conference is fast approaching. Over the past few months, we have made a variety of requests to you regarding the conference. Here is a handy refresher on what we are looking from you prior to the Conference:

 

 

Firstly, we ask that you take part in this historic conference and help to shape the future in Rotary in Western Australia. We will likely never see such a gathering of WA Rotarians again in our lifetimes, and we would love to have you among us. Simply register here or via the link below. You are also asked to encourage the members and associates of your club to register. The more participants of this celebration of Rotary past and future the better.

 

 

For clubs willing to subsidise the tickets of new and/or potential members, we are offering heavily discounted full Conference tickets. To make use of this offer, simply email services@rotarywa9455.org with the details of a promising new or potential member that your club would like to subsidise, and we will set them up with a discounted full conference ticket. This offer is also available if you would like to recognise a particularly outstanding member of your community.

 

 

We are including a live and silent online Galabid Auction at our Conference Dinner on Saturday 6th March with proceeds going to Rotary Club projects of your choice and also to our Conference Charity partners: Lifeline and Homelessness. We invite you to encourage your club to source and donate a significant auction item by January 30th. Items may include such things as luxury travel within Australia, a ‘one-off experience”, jewellery, art, technology, motor vehicles, luxury goods or appliances for example. Given the huge space that we have available this year at Optus Stadium, your club and/or Projects can get some great exposure by taking up an Exhibition Stand. For info and to register your interest, please email info@rotarywa9455.org ASAP! First in best dressed.

 

 

The Conference is organised and run by an all-volunteer team. We are still looking for volunteers to help with a variety of important tasks over the conference weekend. From working on the registration desk, to taking photos and videos of the conference, to keeping our baton relay running smoothly, we have got something for your club members to do. Please ask any interest members of your club to email info@rotarywa9455.org

 

 

Your club is home to a special project, and we want to make sure it gets the recognition it deserves at the Conference. However, we do not have enough time to do justice to all RotaryWA’s great projects centre-stage at the Conference. So, we are running a little competition to determine which projects are broadcast to a crowd of hundreds. All you need to do is record a two-minute video and post it on your club’s Facebook page. The prize is $500 to spend on a charitable initiative of your choice, and a chance to be one of six videos to be shown at the Conference.
