2020 David Reed Award Nominee | PP Stephen Inouye
 
Past President, Stephen Inouye was announced the winner of the 2020 David Reed Award at the Presidents Cocktail Party held at the Crystal Club, Crown Towers, Friday 19 March 2021.
 
The criteria set down by Past President Ted Wilhelm and the Perth Rotary Board for the David Reed Award is as follows:
  • To recognise an outstanding person who has made an exemplary contribution to club life
  • The contribution to be determined for any of the Objects of Rotary, as set out, or for the advancement of the club in any of the five avenues of service being Club Service, Vocational, Community, International and Youth.
  • This award would be for those who make their contribution to the activities to the Rotary Club of Perth as distinct to the District.
 
The 2020/21 David Reed Award.
Objects of Rotary:
  • The development of an acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
  • High ethical standards in business & professions;
  • recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
  • The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal business and community life;
  • The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world of fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
Stephen has been active in the following areas of the Perth Rotary Club during the 2020/21 Rotary Year: 
  • District Grant Submissions – 2020/21. 
  • Global Citizens Project 2019/21
  • Vienna Pops Concert –  Chair of the Committee. 
  • Connect Groups Mentor | Canberra Vocational Tour
  • Path of Hope Board Member since 2012.  
  • Corporate Member and mentor membership.
