THE PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION CHALLENGE: The Long Run is an awareness and fundraising event for Australian men and families impacted by prostate cancer.
All you need to do is run, walk or wheel 72km during September;  every kilometre you cover will raise funds to bring us closer to a world where prostate cancer is no longer a burden and where all men and their families with a diagnosis are supported.

The PERTH ROTARY Response: We are taking on The Long Run!  We have committed to supporting this worthy cause by walking ‘en masse’ Sunday 20 September while taking in views of our lovely city. We invite you to join us as we walk 10kms in groups of 7 (representing the target of 72kms) and/or by making a tax deductible donation to Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. Together, we can make sure our fathers, brothers, sons, husbands, and mates will be there for the long run.

The PERTH ROTARY TEAM plan… Meet on the lawn in front of The Boatshed Restaurant in South Perth at 2pm, Sunday 20th September and walk the bridges (approx. 10kms) in small groups. Head toward the Causeway, collect a takeaway coffee from a café at Barrack St Jetty, stop for a photo op in Elizabeth Quay before resuming our walk across the Narrows and back to The Boatshed. For those who feel they cannot go the distance, the option is there to catch the ferry back to South Perth and reconnect with the group as they pass by.

Dr Dave Preece, Perth Rotary June Inductee has set up a team page for 'Perth Rotary' for the long run event. www.thelongrun.org.au/fundraisers/perthrotary To join the team, simply click on the link and hit the join button, or you can donate without joining.   For more information, speak with David or Jo Morris.  Look forward to seeing you there!  Perth Rotary Fellowship Team
