Key Questions Facing the Scientific Community
The Swan 2 Surf Rotary Community Group is thrilled to host the Liquid Gold Polio Dinner at the Royal Perth Golf Club on Friday, 23 October 2026 — on the eve of World Polio Day. We invite all Rotarians and friends to join us as we celebrate the extraordinary progress of Rotary International's global initiative to end polio. With wild poliovirus endemic only to Pakistan and Afghanistan, we are closer than ever to total eradication.

We will welcome Professor Barry Marshall AC, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine. Professor of Clinical Microbiology & Founder of the Marshall Centre, UWA.

During his address, Professor Marshall will explore key questions facing the scientific community.

Together, let’s unite for the final push to make history and wipe polio off the face of the earth for good.
